HISTORY

In 1979, at the age of 21 years Gerhard Schmid founded a metal processing company.

The founder of the company had always tended to build up a second column in order to compensate the market fluctuations in the metal branch. That is how Messrs. GS-Form & Stanzteile GmbH were created.

This company was to stand out deliberately against the existing field of activities but it should still fully fill the jobs performed by the employeers (precision mechanic, mechanic, tool maker).


The thought to transfer the habitual precision of the metal branch to other materials consolidated increasingly and was finally realized in the production of flexible insulations for the contruction of engines, as a first step.

From that time onward the range was extended step by step. Many new customers could be acquired and convinced by precision.

To be able to fully face the new challenges the turning section was sold which had initially been continuated in parallel.

From today's sight this decision proved to be correct considering that the development of the company has been accelerated hereby enormously.

Nowadays the company produces on highest production level by using latest technology and employment skilled specialized staff.

In 1990 the son of the company's founder, Bernhard Schmid, joined the firm as managing clerk.

Father and son as well as many motivated employees made the company progress constantly.

The firm grew and keeps growing. The fields of activity were spread over various shoulders. Today the company counts 30 employees.

At the end of the year 2001 it was decided to found a subidary company named Tape Modification GmbH, together with Messrs. Tewipack as partner.
The new firm mainly specializes in the cutting of special foil materials and adhesive tapes by using latest technology thus complementing the existing manufacture program of Messrs. GS-Form & Stanzteile GmbH in an ideal way.

Also in future Messrs. GS-Form & Stanzteile GmbH will develop an highest level.

Together with their partners such as 3M, Avery Dennison, Lohmann and Tewipack as well as their customers from the automotive industry, electrical industry, electronic industry, medical technique, furniture industry and other interested companies they will be a reliable contact and supplier at any time.
